The unique pencil-like branches are responsible for getting the vernacular name Pencil tree. Euphorbia tirucalli is a succulent, spineless, hardy green shrub, up to 3 m tall. The branches are cylindrical, smooth and glabrous-green, up to 8 mm in diameter, forming brush-like masses. The leaves are small and slender.

The flowers are yellow, inconspicuous, and carried in clusters at the apex of the short branches or in the angles of branches. Fruits are tripartite capsules. Planting And Care :-Keep in a bright sunny location.
Try not to water the leaves, give water to soil only. Avoid overwatering as the roots may rot.
Water the plant in the morning, between 8 to 10 am. Avoid keeping in suffocated areas or in dark rooms. While repotting or propagating try not to disturb the roots.
